This piece was written for a 2020 mini-documentary, "The Praying Mantis God of Ancient Egypt," written and directed by the artist Setken (of setken.com). We offer this work in the hopes that it will help raise awareness of Abyt, the holy Netjer and Celestial Mantis who guides the soul through its various states of transformation in life.
